Fourth of July on the Savannah Waterfront

The evening opens at 6:00 pm with live music across the waterfront. At 7:30 pm, the U.S. Army's Third Infantry Division Brass Band and Rock Band take the stage at Rousakis Riverfront Plaza. At 9:30 pm, a professional 20-minute fireworks show launches from a barge on the Savannah River, choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack — visible from the plaza, Plant Riverside District, Eastern Wharf, and the Savannah Convention Center across the water.
City Hall will be illuminated in red, white, and blue beginning July 3 as part of the 250th anniversary celebration.
Practical notes: River Street ramps close to vehicles at 7:00 pm. Metered downtown parking is free on the holiday; city parking garages are available at a flat rate of $20. Chairs and blankets are welcome; coolers, glass containers, and personal fireworks are not. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased from licensed vendors and consumed within the designated To-Go Cup Zone.
For rooftop views, Bar Julian, Lavender Rooftop Bar, Rocks on the Roof, and Myrtle & Rose all offer elevated sightlines over the river — book well in advance, as these fill up early.
Free Admission to Fort Pulaski National Monument
